Who was Dr. Vittoz ?

Dr. Vittoz, a swiss GP noticed that most of his patients were suffering from nervous disorders.

He first practiced hypnosis to cure nervous problems, then he searched for a technique in which the patient would become active in his own treatment, for it seemed to him necessary, that the patient became the architect of his own healing.

He developed a technique which he experimented with on himself, as he was subject to the same difficulties.

He chose the name “method”, following the Greek etymology, which means “the road” or “the way”. The Vittoz method is indeed a way, whose different steps are important and must be adhered to.
